Only Months after the launch of TripAdvisor’s new hotel ratings system it has been pulled. The reason we believe is due to negative feedback from the hospitality industry with TripAdvisor admitting it has “some work to do”.
The system allowed hotel ratings to be posted without leaving a review. Ratings were collected for hotels and other products such as activities, restaurants and attractions whereby users could simply score a property on as a scale of one to five, without leaving an actual review. TripAdvisor only started showing the review last week but an outpouring of negative comments has forced the review giant to suspend the service.
